1886 Arrival of Kripasaran at Kolkata and staying at Nabin Vihara of 72/73 Malanga Lane (Bowbazar area of central Kolkata) for three years, as Nabin Vihara was cloased following a government order, Kripasaran shifted his activities at Mahanagar Vihara of 21/16 Bow Street, he stayed here for thirteen years.

Through the effort of Chandramoni Mahasthavir (preceptor of Dr. B.R. Ambedkar) and Varasambodhi Bhikkhu a big site (3 bigha) for a rest house at Balarampur town was secured from the generous Maharaja of Balarampur.
